In Memoriam: Jacqueline Williams Paddio, 1957-2018

Jacqueline Williams Paddio, the former vice president for student affairs at Talladega College in Alabama, died on July 7. She was 60 years old.

Paddio served as vice president for student affairs from 2008 to 2015. During her tenure, enrollment at the college quadrupled. When she arrived at Talladega, there were no intercollegiate athletic programs at the historically Black education institution. Since that time six Talladega College teams have participated in NAIA national tournaments.

Before joining the staff at Talladega College, Paddio was dean of students at Texas College and was the head softball coach at Southeastern Louisiana University.

A native of St. Charles, Louisiana, Paddio was a graduate of McNeese State University in St. Charles, where she majored in education. She earned a master’s degree in ministry from Freedom Bible College and Seminary in Rogers, Arkansas, with a concentration in Christian counseling psychology.
