Wayne State College in Nebraska Names Its Next President

RamesMaryszMarysz Rames was named the 13th president of Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. The college enrolls about 3,000 undergraduate students and 500 graduate students. Women make up 57 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Dr. Rames has been serving as the interim president of Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. Dakota State recently named Jose-Marie Griffiths as its next president. (See WIAReport post here.)

Before her appointment as interim president at Dakota State University, Dr. Rames was vice president for student affairs at South Dakota State University in Brookings. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and a doctorate in adult and higher education from the University of South Dakota.
