Dorothy Bagwell Durband to Lead a School at Kansas State University

durbandDorothy Bagwell Durband was appointed director of the School of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University. She will take on her new role in July. Dr. Durband is the founding chair of the department of community, family, and addiction services in the College of Human Services at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Dr. Durband is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she majored in family life and environment. She holds a master’s degree in family studies from Texas Woman’s University and a doctorate from Virginia Tech. In 2013, she was named on of the top 25 women professors in the state of Texas.
