Donna Fry Is the New Leader of the University of Michigan-Flint

Donna Fry was appointed interim chancellor of the University of Michigan-Flint. She has been serving as the dean of the College of Health Sciences at the Flint campus since 2015.

The University of Michigan-Flint enrolls just over 4,600 undergraduate students and nearly 1,400 graduate students, according to the most recent available data from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 63 percent of the undergraduate student body.

“As a long-standing faculty member and administrator at this resilient institution, I have seen the incredible talent of our faculty members who care passionately about providing exceptional education to our students,” Dr. Fry wrote in an email to the campus community. “As your interim chancellor, I will commit my primary focus to working with all of you to advance the transformation of UM-Flint.”

Dr. Fry holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and a Ph.D. in kinesiology and exercise science from the University of Michigan.
