Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Has Selected Ritu Raju as Its New President

Ritu Raju is the new president of Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The college, which operates nine campuses and learning centers, enrolls more than 9,100 students, according to the most recent statistics available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 52 percent of the student body.

“It is an honor to be selected for this role. I am very excited and very humbled to be able to come to this community to learn, serve and grow with each one of you,” Dr. Raju said in a statement after being appointed president of the college. “I look forward to interacting with every member of the Gateway community. This is my family, my Redhawk family.”

Dr. Raju most recently served as vice president for academic affairs at Tarrant County College’s Northeast Campus in Hurst, Texas, a position she’s held since 2020. Prior to that, she served as dean for advanced manufacturing at Houston Community College in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Raju is a graduate of the University of Houston Downtown. She holds a master’s degree in English from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and a doctorate in technical communication and rhetoric from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
