Pamela Monaco Will Be the Next President of Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey

Pamela Monaco was appointed the fifth president of Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey. She will take office on July 1.

Ocean County College is a two-year, publicly-operated educational institution that enrolls more than 7,300 students, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 58 percent of the student body.

Dr. Monaco currently serves as vice president of academic and student affairs at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, Illinois. From 2014 to 2018, she was dean of graduate and continuing studies at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Earlier, she was vice president for professional studies and chief academic officer at Southwestern College in Wichita, Kansas.

Dr. Monaco received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Washington University and master’s and doctoral degrees in English from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
