Colleen Simpson Appointed President of Front Range Community College in Westminster, Colorado

Colleen Simpson has been selected as the next president of Front Range Community College in Westminster, Colorado. She will take office on August 1.

“I am excited and deeply honored to be selected to lead Front Range Community College, and as president, I will continue to live the values of service, integrity, transparency, and inclusiveness in decision-making,” said Dr. Simpson. “FRCC is a dynamic, forward-thinking institution, and I am excited to amplify my commitment to students first, excellence in teaching and learning, and equitable outcomes for students, faculty, and instructors.”

Front Range Community College enrolls nearly 19,000 students, according to the most recent statistics available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 59 percent of the student body.

Dr. Simpson has been serving as vice president of student services and Regional Learning Centers at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, where she oversaw multiple campuses and five regional learning centers. Earlier, she served as the administrator overseeing retention and student success at Bronx Community College of the City University of New York.

Dr. Simpson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership, administration, and policy from Fordham University in New York.
