Shannon Jesme to Lead Northland Community and Technical College in Minnesota

The board of trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has named Shannon Jesme to serve as interim president of Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls. The appointment is effective on January 1, 2021.

The college enrolls just over 3,200 students, according to the most recent data available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 58 percent of the student body.

Dr. Jesme has worked at Northland Community and Technical College since 2008. From 2010 to 2015, she was director of finance and chief financial officer. In 2015 she was promoted to vice president of administrative services/CFO.

Dr. Jesme holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. She earned an MBA from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a doctorate from the University of North Dakota.
