Terry Booth Is the New Leader of Central Carolina Technical College in Sumter, South Carolina

Terry Booth was appointed as interim president of Central Carolina Technical College in Sumter, South Carolina. Booth has been on the staff at the college for the past 30 years.

Central Carolina Technical College enrolls just over 3,500 students, according to the latest data furnished to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 68 percent of the student body.

Booth served as interim president in 2017 and has been serving as vice president for business affairs, a role she has held since 1999. She earlier served as accounting director from 1990 to 1999. Booth is responsible for the college’s human resources, information systems, capital projects, physical plant, accounting and budgeting, purchasing, security, auxiliary and internal services.

President Booth is a certified public accountant and a certified government finance officer. She is a graduate of the College Business Management Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. Booth holds a master of public administration degree from Troy University in Alabama and a bachelorr’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina.
