Montcalm Community College in Sidney, Michigan, Selects Its Next President

By a vote of 4 to 3, Stacy Young was selected by the board of trustees as the next president of Montcalm Community College in Sidney, Michigan. She is expected to take office on January 1.

Montcalm Community College enrolls slightly under 1,700 students according to the latest figures furnished to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 61 percent of the student body.

Young currently serves as dean of the School of Business and School of Advanced Technology at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac. She joined the staff at the college in 2005 and was named dean in 2013.

Dr. Young s a graduate of Manchester University in Indiana, where she majored in accounting. She earned an MBA at from Bethel University in Indiana and a Ph.D. in higher education administration and leadership from Andrews University in Berrien Springs Michigan.
