Ursuline College Is Launching a New Online Bachelor’s Degree Program in Social Work

Ursuline College, a women’s college in Pepper Pike, Ohio, has announced that it is launching a new bachelor’s degree program in social work that will be offered exclusively online. The new program will begin during the fall 2018 semester.

The new program is aimed at working professionals such as case workers and home healthcare aides who can complete their degree while continuing to work. Students enrolled in the program will participate in 15-week semesters and will be individually matched with agencies and organizations for fieldwork assignments.

Sharon Zimmerman Wilson, professor of social work at Ursuline College, explains that “graduates of Ursuline College’s social work program desire to help people and want to know how to do so effectively. With this online capability, we will be able to offer our collaborative, flexible, and challenging curriculum a broader cross-section of people who want to be capable and compassionate social workers.”
