Four Women Named to New Administrative Posts in Higher Education

Peg Northrup was appointed director of operations at Hendricks Chapel on the campus of Syracuse University in New York. She previously served as assistant director for events, community engagement, admissions & enrollment management at the university.

Northrup holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York.

Laura Jensen was promoted to vice provost for planning and effectiveness at Colorado State University. She has been serving as associate provost of institutional research, planning and effectiveness at the university. Dr. Jensen joined the staff at the university in 2008 as associate director of the Office of Institutional Research.

Dr. Jensen holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She earned a Ph.D. in education at Colorado State University.

Ja’Net Glover is the new senior director of the Career Resource Center at the University of Florida. She has been serving as interim director. Earlier, Glover was senior associate director for career services at the university.

Glover holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks, and tourism and a master’s degree in management from the University of Florida.

Myra Simms will be the new director of athletics at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Since 2010, she has been serving as director of athletics at Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia.

Sims is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she majored in psychology. She later coached volleyball there and at Emory University in Atlanta.
