Women Faculty at One Unit of the UCLA Medical School Faced a Climate of Hostility for a Decade

uclaAccording to a report in the Los Angeles Times , an internal investigation by the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, found that women faculty members in the Alzheimer’s disease research center faced “a climate of conflict, tension, hostility, and mistrust” and were treated in an “unprofessional, demeaning manner.” The report said that the harassment went on for about 10 years.

The report said that women faculty had reported the behavior on several occasions but never received a proper response to their complaints. The report said that changes had been made but did not identify anyone who had been disciplined.
