University of Rhode Island Scholar Named to American College of Clinical Pharmacy Post

jayne_pawasauskasJayne Pawasauskas, a clinical associate professor of pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island, was named chair-elect of the Pain and Palliative Care Practice and Research Network of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She will serve as chair-elect for one year before becoming chair of the network in 2015.

Dr. Pawasauskas’ current research focus in clinical work is on the development of pain management education strategies for interdisciplinary practice. In addition to her academic duties, she maintains a clinical consultation services in pain management at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Dr. Pawasauskas has been on the faculty at the University of Rhode Island since 1999. She holds a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island.
