College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas Shows Progress in Enrollments of Women

university_arkansas_logo2The College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville has made tremendous gains in the enrollment of women. This fall’s entering class has 168 women. They make up 23.5 percent of the entering class. The number of women in the entering class is almost triple the number of women in the entering class five years ago.

John English, dean of the College of Engineering, stated, that “on the national level and here at the University of Arkansas, engineering still has a long way to go. But I’m confidant that we will have even more impressive numbers in the future.”
