A Trio of Women Honored With Prestigious Awards From National Associations

maybergHelen Mayberg was presented with the Gold Medal Award from the Society of Biological Psychiatry. She holds the Dorothy C. Fuqua Chair in Psychiatric Neuroimaging and Therapeutics at Emory University in Atlanta.

Professor Mayberg is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in psychobiology. She earned a medial degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

cruzadoWaded Cruzado, president of Montana State University in Bozeman, received the Chief Executive HR Champion Award from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources. She received the award at the association’s annual convention in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Cruzado has been president of Montana State since January 2010. She is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington.

finkKristin Fink, a lecturer in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership at Utah State University, has been selected to receive the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Character Education Partnership. She will receive the award in Washington, D.C. later this month.

Fink formerly taught in the public schools for 22 years. In 1995 she was named the character educational specialist at the Utah State Office of Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in education.
