The New Provost at the University of Nebraska

Susan M. Fritz was named executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Nebraska. She was serving as interim provost and dean of the graduate college.

Dr. Fritz joined the faculty at the university in 1984 as an instructor in the department of agricultural leadership, education, and communication. She was granted tenure in 1998 and promoted to full professor in 2004. From 2005 to 2011 Professor Fritz served as associate vice chancellor of the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the university. In 2011, she was named associate vice president for academic affairs.

Dr. Fritz holds bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees, all from the University of Nebraska. Her doctorate is in the field of community and human resources.
