The Next President of Minnesota State University-Moorhead

The board of trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has chosen Anne Blackhurst as the next president of Minnesota State University-Moorhead. The university, located just east of Fargo, North Dakota, enrolls nearly 7,000 students, including about 500 graduate students. Women make up 59 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Since 2011, Dr. Blackhurst has served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the university. Previously, she held several administrative and faculty positions at Minnesota State University-Mankato.

Dr. Blackhurst is a graduate of Boise State University in Idaho, where she majored in economics. She holds a master’s degree in counseling from the College of Idaho in Caldwell and a doctorate in college student personnel from Ohio University in Athens.
