Two High-Level Administrators Announce They Are Stepping Down

sheerer1_4Marilyn Sherrer, provost at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, announced that she will step down from her present position on August 15. After taking a one-year sabbatical, she will return to the university to teach. Sherrer has been provost  since 2007. Earlier she served for eight years as dean of the College of Education.

Dr. Sherrer is a graduate of Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. She holds a master’s degree from Syracuse University and a doctorate from Ohio University.

BevLewisBev Lewis, the associate vice chancellor and executive associate athletic director at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, has announced that she will retire on June 30 after serving the university for more than 30 years. From 1989 to 2007, Lewis was the director of women’s athletics. Earlier she was the coach of the women’s cross country and track and field teams.

Lewis is a graduate of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. She holds a master’s degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
