Two Women Appointed to the Tenure-Track Faculty at Hamilton College

Hamilton College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution in Clinton, New York, has announced the addition of five new tenure-track faculty for the coming academic year. Two of the five new faculty members are women.

gibbonsCourtney Gibbons is a new assistant professor of mathematics. A native of Connecticut, she is a summa cum laude graduate of Colorado College. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. At Hamilton, she plans to create algebra elective courses that blend classical theory with modern applications.

listAlexandra List was appointed assistant professor of psychology. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. List did postdoctoral research at both Northwestern University and Bangor University in Wales. Her research is focused on understanding how humans perceive and attend to visual, auditory, and haptic information in our environments.
