Catholic Theological Society of America Honors Anne Patrick

AnnePatrickAnne E. Patrick, the William R. Laird Professor of Religion and the Liberal Arts Emerita at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, received the John Courtney Murray Award at the annual meeting of the Catholic Theological Society of America. The award is given for a lifetime of distinguished scholarship on theological issues.

Patrick’s latest book is Conscience and Calling: Ethical Reflections on Catholic Women’s Church Vocations (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013). Earlier works include Liberating Conscience: Feminist Explorations in Catholic Moral Theology (Continuum, 1997) and Women, Conscience, and the Creative Process (Paulist Press, 2011).

Dr. Patrick is a graduate of Medaille College in Buffalo, New York. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland and a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
