Kimberly Wright Cassidy to Lead Bryn Mawr College

cassidyKimberly Wright Cassidy was named interim president of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, one of the most prestigious women’s colleges in the nation. Dr. Cassidy has been on the college’s faculty since 1993. She has been provost at the college since 2007. From 2004 to 2007, she was chair of the department of psychology. Professor Cassidy will take over as interim president on July 1.

“I am honored to take on this important role and to serve Bryn Mawr in a new capacity at a very exciting time in our College’s history,” Dr. Cassidy said. “I look forward to working closely with faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, our Tri-Co partners and our entire community as we continue to build upon Bryn Mawr’s foundation as a leading academic institution and a vibrant force in higher education today.”

Dr. Cassidy is a graduate of Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
