Two Women Named Department Chairs at Jackson State University in Mississippi

The College of Education and Human Development at Jackson State University in Mississippi, has announced the appointment of two women to department chairs. Both women were serving as interim chairs of their departments.

tamikabradleyTamika Bradley was named chair of the department of health, physical education, and recreation. She has been on the university’s faculty since 2002 and previously was the university’s assistant track coach.

Dr. Bradley is a summa cum laude graduate of Jackson State University. She earned a master’s degree from Jackson State and a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Mississippi.

rubywigginsRuby Wiggins was appointed chair of the department of special education. She has taught at the university for more than 30 years.

Dr. Wiggins holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Jackson State University. She earned a doctorate in teacher training at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
