Provost at New Mexico State University Is Stepping Down

Wendy K. Wilkins, provost and executive vice president at New Mexico State University, announced that she will step down from her post on January 1. Dr. Wilkins has served as provost at NMSU since July 2010. Previously, she was provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of North Texas in Denton. Earlier, she was dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Michigan State University.

Dr. Wilkins holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
