One Woman Among the Finalists for Vice President of Information Technology at Virginia Tech

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University has announced three finalists for the position of vice president for information technology. One of the three candidates is a woman.

Viji Murali currently serves as vice president for information services and chief information officer at Washington State University. She has previously held IT positions at Western Michigan University and the University of Arizona.

Murali is a graduate of Osmania University in India where she majored in biology and chemistry. She earned a master’s degree in organic chemistry at Osmania University and a second master’s degree in computer science from the University of Arizona.
