Honolulu Community College Selects Its Next Leader

Erika Lacro has been selected as the next chancellor of Honolulu Community College in Hawaii. Her appointment is effective on July 2. Lacro has been serving as vice chancellor of academic affairs at the college, which enrolls about 4,725 students. She has held that post since 2007. Previously, she was assistant dean and director of student services at the University of Hawaii’s School of Travel Industry Management.

Lacro holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in communication and information sciences from the University of Hawaii.
