University of Idaho Promotes Two Women to the Rank of Distinguished Professor

The University of Idaho in Moscow has appointed two women to the rank of University Distinguished Professor.

Carolyn Hovde Bohach is a professor of food science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She has served on the university’s faculty for more than 20 years. Dr. Bohach also serves as director of the Idaho IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence program. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Holly Wichman is a professor of biological sciences at the university. Professor Wichman, who earned a Ph.D. at Wesleyan University, joined the faculty at the University of Idaho in 1988. She is the cofounder of the Initiative for Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Studies.
