Beth Hellwig Honored for Her Commitment to the Advancement of Women in Higher Education

Beth Hellwig, the vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will receive the Dr. Zenobia Hikes Award from the Center for Scholarship, Research, and Professional Development for Women, a division of NASPA, an organization of student affairs administrators in higher education. The award will be presented at the NASPA annual convention in Phoenix on March 12. The award honors the late Zenobia Hikes, who was vice president for student affairs at Virginia Tech. It is awarded to professionals with at leat 10 years of experience who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of women in higher education through mentoring and professional development activities.

Dr. Hellwig joined the administration at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2008. She is a graduate of New Mexico State University and holds a master’s degree from Colorado State University and a doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado.
