Fields was appointed vice president for student affairs at the University of Louisiana Monroe and Tamara Williams has been appointed interim vice president for workforce solutions at Tidewater Community College in Virginia.

Nancy Albright Lowery taught nursing at the Univesity of Louisiana-Monroe for 40 years including the first class of students at what is now the Kitty DeGree School of Nursing. She was president of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing in the 1980s.

In Memoriam: Emily E. Williamson, 1965-2019

Williamson became director of the Child Development Center at the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2003 and remained in that post until her death. She served as an instructor in family and consumer sciences from 2003 to 2010. She then became an instructor in the School of Education.

In Memoriam: Ella Lee Kelley, 1948-2015

Dr. Kelley joined the faculty at Southern University in 1983. She served as chair of the chemistry department at the university and most recently was associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of the Dolores Margaret Richard Spikes Honors College.
