Erika Endrijonas Chosen to Lead Santa Barbara City College in California

The board of trustees of the Santa Barbara Community College District in California has announced the selection of Erika Endrijonas as the next superintendent/president of Santa Barbara City College. She will take office on August 1.

Santa Barbara City College enrolls nearly 13,000 students, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 57 percent of the student body.

Dr. Endrijonas was president of Pasadena City College since January 2019. She previously served as president of Los Angeles Valley College. Prior to that, she served as executive vice president of Oxnard College in the Ventura County Community College District. Early in her career, Dr. Endrijonas was career and technical dean at Santa Barbara City College.

“It has been my goal since I left SBCC to return,” said Dr. Endrijonas. “It is where I started my community college career. I am thrilled to render service in a place I love.”

Dr. Endrijonas holds a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University, Northridge and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in history from the University of Southern California.
