Two Women Announced Their Retirements From High-Level University Posts

Nancy Cochran, director of the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, announced that she will retire in September 2018. She came to the University of Denver in 2011.

Earlier in her career, Cochran served as director of the Division of Music at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, director of the School of Music at Texas Tech University and for 28 years as professor of horn in the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Janet Lowe, associate vice president for fiscal administration at the University of Wyoming, announced that she will retire on December 21. She has held her current post since 2006. Earlier, she was university controller. Lowe joined the staff at the university in 1996 as a tax and investment analyst.

Lowe, a certified public accountant, is a graduate of the University of Wyoming, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
