Three Women Named Department Chairs

chatterjee_profileArchana Chatterjee was appointed chair of the department of pediatrics at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. She will also serve as senior associate dean for faculty development. Since 2004, she has been a professor of pediatrics at the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Chatterjee received her medical training at Pune University in India. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

barbanderson-smBarbara Anderson was named chair of the department of apparel, textiles, and interior design at Kansas State University. She has served as interim head of the department for the past three years.

Professor Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree and a master of architecture degree from the University of Kansas.

paola cropPaola Sanguinetti was named chair of the department of architecture at the University of Kansas. She has taught in the department since 1997.

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Dr. Sanguinetti holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in architecture from Georgia Tech.
