Another Honor for Bernice Pescosolido

Bernice Pescosolido, Chancellor’s Professor of Sociology at Indiana University in Bloomington and director of the Indiana Consortium for Mental Health Services Research, was named as the recipient of the 2012 Carl Taube Award from the American Public Health Association. She will receive the award later this month during the association’s annual meeting in San Francisco.

Earlier this year she received the Leonard I. Pearlin Award for Distinguished Contributions from the American Sociological Association’s Section on Sociology and Mental Health and the Wilbur Lucius Cross Medal from the Yale Graduate School Alumni Association.

Professor Pescosolido earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1974 and a Ph.D. from Yale University in 1982.
