Study Finds That Women Rated as “More Feminine” Are Less Likely to be Identified as Scientists
The study led by researchers at the University of Colorado showed that the women who were rated as most feminine in appearance were the least likely to be identified as scientists. Women who were rated as being the most masculine in appearance were the most likely to be identified as scientists.
University Study Finds Women Managers Who Hire Other Women Are Likely to Be Rated Less Competent
The results showed that women managers were rated as less effective when they hired a woman for the open position than women mangers who hired a man for the post. For male managers, there was no difference in competency rating on whether they hired a man or a woman.
