In Memoriam: Peggy Ann Brainerd Way, 1931-2016
Peggy Ann Brainerd Way was the first woman to hold a full-time faculty post at Vanderbult Divinity School in Nashville, Tennessee, and the first woman to hold a full-time faculty position at the University of Chicago Divinity School.

Two American Women Scholars to Receive Lautenschlaeger Awards
The Manfred Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise is awarded to 10 scholars from around the world each year for outstanding scholarship on God or spirituality. Two of this year’s 10 winners are American women: Alison L. Joseph of Towson University and Brittany E. Wilson of Duke Divinity School.
Four Women in New Teaching Roles in Higher Education
Maria Estorino was named to an endowed chair at the University of Miami. Lisa Bowens was appointed to the faculty at the Princeton Theological Seminary and Claudia Emerson is joining the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University. Azadeh Osanloo was appointed to a named chair at New Mexico State University.
