Bonnie Slatton began her tenure in the then women’s physical education department at the University of Iowa in 1964, where she served as a faculty member and a coach of tennis and badminton. She earned a  Ph.D. in physical education from the University of Iowa in 1970.

Dr. Williamson joins the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where she served as the Victor and Caroline Schutte/Missouri Professor of Urban Affairs and director of the L.P. Cookingham Institute of Urban Affairs. Earlier, she taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Alabama.

Carol Puryear Appointed President of Tennessee College of Applied Technology Murfreesboro

Dr. Puryear joined the University of Tennessee System in 1994. In 2012, she was named associate vice chancellor for instruction and special projects for the colleges of applied technology. In 2017, Dr. Puryear was promoted to vice chancellor of economic and community development for the Tennessee Board of Regents.
