Indiana University Study Examines Women’s Worldwide Use of Dating Apps
Researchers surveyed more than 130,000 women in 191 countries. They found that one fifth of all women used dating apps to find sexual partners. The practice was most common in Oceania and least common in Africa and Asia. Women in countries with higher gender inequality reported being more than four times more likely to report sexting than women in more egalitarian regions.

Martha Banta was Distinguished Professor of English, Emerita, at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Banta was the author of eight books and was working on two more at the time of her death at the age of 91.
Beth Young to Lead Rock Valley College in Illinois
Young has served as Rock Valley’s chief operating officer since December 2019, and as the college’s chief financial officer since 2016. Before arriving at Rock Valley College, Young was the dean of business affairs at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois.

Marsha Kelliher Appointed President of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa
Since 2017, Kelliher was served as president of Walsh College in Troy Michigan. Earlier, she was dean of Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. When she takes office on June 1, Kelliher will become the first woman to serve as president of Simpson College since its founding in 1860.
