Dana Nichols Selected to Lead Georgia Highlands College
Dr. Nichols has served as provost and chief academic officer at the college since 2018. Earlier, she was vice president for academic affairs at Chattanooga State Community College and was an associate professor of both English and Spanish at Gainesville State College, which is now a campus of the University of North Georgia.

A research team from Georgia State University and Arizona State University used a novel technique to assess the facial expressions of viewers who watched the debates. The results showed that the impact of emotions was stronger for women viewers and that gender issues were more important for them as well.
