Jeanne Gunther was promoted to associate professor of education. Julia Mixon was named an associate professor of art and Regina Yanson was promoted to associate professor of management. All three women were granted tenure.

The new appointees are Rania Habib at Syracuse University, Denise Tucker at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Ann Stoeckmann at Frances Marion University, Mignon Fogarty at the University of Nevada, Jingjing Huang at Virginia Tech, and Fumie Kato at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
