The National Endowment for the Humanities has recently awarded nearly $35 million in grants to 97 humanities projects across the country. Five of these grants were awarded to higher education institutions leading projects related to prominent American women writers, poets, and activists.
The newly established Fairbairn Menstruation Science Fund will support the MIT Center for Gynepathology Research, which will investigate the function of the human uterus and how it contributes to gynecological disorders, as well as other diseases that disproportionally affect women.
