Sue Ott Rowland Will Be the Next President of Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia

Sue Ott Rowlands has been selected to serve as the eleventh president of Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She will take office on July 1.

Randolph College enrolls just over 500 undergraduate students and about 60 graduate students, according to the most recent data available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 61 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Rowlands is a professor of theatre at Northern Kentucky University. From 2014 to 2020, she was provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the university. Earlier, she was a professor of theatre and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech.

Rowlands is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, where she majored in theater education. She holds a master of fine arts degree in acting and directing from the University of Oklahoma.
