Three Women Appointed to Posts Overseeing Campus Diversity at State Universities

Lotte N. Dyrbye has been named senior associate dean of faculty and chief well-being officer for the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In this role, she will oversee diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at the medical school. Dr. Dyrbye will also be a professor of medicine. She has been on the faculty at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, serving most recently as a professor of medicine and medical education and co-director of the physician well-being program.

Dr. Dyrbye graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1996. She earned a master’s degree in health professions education from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine in 2009.

Kendra N. Cadogan was named interim chief diversity and inclusion officer and interim director of the Institute for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Transformative Practice at the State University of New York at Oswego. Most recently, Cadogan served as the senior associate for program and policy evaluation for the State University of New York System. Earlier, she served as the director of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University at Buffalo School of Law.

Cadogan holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology and a master’s degree in education from the University at Buffalo.

Donyell Roseboro has been named chief diversity officer at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Dr. Roseboro has served in the role on an interim basis since July 2020. She joined the faculty at the university in 2007 and is currently a professor in the department of instructional technology, foundations, and secondary education.

Dr. Roseboro is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in secondary education. She holds a master’s degree in history from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and a Ph.D. in curriculum and teaching/cultural studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
