Three Women Who Have Been Appointed to University Diversity Positions

Kendra Riley was named deputy chief diversity officer and Title IX coordinator at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. Riley had been working as a program assistant in recruitment, retention, and multicultural affairs at the University of Florida. Earlier, she served as director of the Upward Bound Program at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida.

Riley earned a bachelor’s degree in English education and a master’s degree in education from Florida A&M University. She also holds a juris doctorate from the University of Florida.

Renée Stewart was appointed associate director of public relations and communications in the Office for Inclusion and Diversity at Virginia Tech. She was working in the Office for Corporate and Foundation Relations at Ohio University.

Stewart holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Ohio University.

On October 15, Margo R. Foreman will assume the role of vice president and chief officer of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She has been serving as interim vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion and assistant vice president for diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity at Iowa State University.

Foreman holds a bachelor of science degree in social behavior science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She earned a master of public health degree from Indiana University and is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership in higher education from the American College of Education.
