Ursuline College in Ohio Announces Three New Degree Programs Beginning This Fall

Ursuline College, a liberal arts educational institution for women in Pepper Pike, Ohio, has announced the establishment of three new academic programs. This fall the college will offer new bachelor’s degree programs in exercise science and engineering. In addition, a new master’s degree program for school leaders in curriculum, instruction, and assessment will be offered for the first time.

The new exercise science degree combines basic science (including biology, anatomy, and physiology) with an exploration of human movement and its importance to overall health.

Students in Ursuline’s new engineering program spend three years on the Pepper Pike campus, where they major in chemistry or biology. After three years in this program, qualified students transition to the University of Dayton’s graduate engineering program to earn a master’s degree in engineering in two additional years.

The college’s new master’s degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment is ideal for educators who are ready to advance to leadership roles such as curriculum and instruction administrator, curriculum and instruction analyst, school principal, or department chairperson.

“Each of these new programs builds on existing strengths at the college,” said Sister Christine De Vinne, president of Ursuline College. “We are delighted to offer rigorous learning experiences in these areas, each leading to solid career opportunities.”

Ursuline College enrolls more than 600 undergraduate students and more than 400 graduate students, according to the latest data supplied to the U.S. Department of Education.
