Anne Dorrance to Lead the Wooster Campus of Ohio State University

Anne E. Dorrance is the new associate dean and director for the Wooster campus of Ohio State University. She will also serve as associate director for the Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station in Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Dr. Dorrance began her new duties on January 1.

Dr. Dorrance has been a faculty member in the department of plant pathology in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and based in Wooster since the fall of 1997. She currently serves as a professor in the department and was the director of the college’s Center for Soybean Research.

Dr. Dorrance earned an associate degree in biology from Herkimer County Community College in New York; a bachelor’s degree in forest biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry in Syracuse, New York; a master’s degree in plant pathology from University of Massachusetts at Amherst; and a Ph.D. in plant pathology from Virginia Tech.
