Three Women Scholars Promoted to Higher Faculty Ranks at Princeton University

Katie Chenoweth has been promoted to associate professor of French and Italian. She has been a Princeton faculty member since 2013. Her research is situated at the intersection of literature, philosophy, media studies, and the history of the book. She is the author of the forthcoming book, The Prosthetic Tongue: Printing Technology and the Rise of the French Language (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2019).

Dr. Chenoweth holds a Ph.D. in French studies from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island..

Andrea Graham has been promoted to professor of ecology and evolutionary biology. She has been a member of the Princeton faculty since 2009. In addition to teaching, she also serves as co-director of the program in global health immunity and disease ecology.

Dr. Graham is a summa cum laude graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, where she double-majored in biological sciences and sculpture. She holds a Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Mariangela Lisanti has been promoted to associate professor of physics. She has been a member of the Princeton faculty since 2013. She is a theoretical physicist primarily interested in models of dark matter and their experimental signatures.

Dr. Lisanti is a summa cum laude graduate of Harvard University. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
