Kristin Woolever Announces She Will Retire as Chancellor of Penn State Brandywine

Kristin WooleverKristin Wooleverthe chancellor of  Pennsylvania State University Brandywine, has announced that she will retire from the university on July 31, 2019. She has held the position since February 2014. During her tenure, she helped add more four-year majors to the school, secured significant grant money, and oversaw the construction of a new dorm building and student center. Additionally, she also serves as a professor of English.

Before coming to Penn State, Dr. Woolever was the president of Prescott College in Arizona. Prior to that, she was dean and director of the campus at the University of New Hampshire-Manchester and director of the Centre for Creative Change at Antioch University in Seattle. She spent 17 years at Northeastern University holding various administrative and faculty positions throughout her time there. She has previously taught at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Woolever holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Allegheny College and a master’s degree and Ph.D. both in English from the University of Pittsburgh.
