Mills College in Oakland to Offer Guaranteed Admission to Graduates of California Community Colleges

Mills College, the liberal arts educational institution for women in Oakland, California, has entered into an agreement with the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities and the California Community College System. Under the agreement, students who complete an associate degree for transfer at a member of the California Community College System will be guaranteed admission to Mills College as a junior. Mills will assign a minimum of 60 credit hours to these students toward their bachelor’s degree.

Elizabeth L. Hillman, president of Mills College, stated that “Mills is excited to participate in this program offering a guaranteed pathway to a four-year degree at a top-tier college. In the past few years Mills has initiated a number of innovative programs with the goal to provide a life-changing education opportunity that is affordable and accessible for all students.”
