Lisa Tyson Elected President of the Christian Adult Higher Education Association

Lisa Tyson, director of the College of Adult and Graduate Studies at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, was elected president of the Christian Adult Higher Education Association. The association, founded in 1995, is headquartered in Garland, Texas. It represents 60 member colleges and universities.

Michael McCorcle, executive vice president and provost at Evangel University, stated that Dr. Tyson’s “election to this leadership post by her peers is indicative of her nationally recognized expertise, innovation, and passion for educating adult students.”

Dr. Tyson began working at Evangel University in 2004. A native of Winfield, Kansas, Dr. Tyson earned a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Evangel University. She holds a Ph.D. in global leadership in academic administration from the Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne.
