In Memoriam: Cheryl Rodgers: 1967-2018

Cheryl Rodgers, an associate professor at the Duke University School of Nursing, died on July 7 in Nebraska. She was 51 years old.

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Rodgers earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She held a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and a Ph.D. from Texas Woman’s University.

Dr. Rodgers joined the faculty at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 2013, after teaching at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. At Duke, she worked in the children’s oncology group. Dr. Rodgers was a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Oncology.
